This Genuine Cushman Colonial Creations side table was unfortunately painted when I found it. I stripped all of the paint off and applied 2 coats of Minwax colonial maple stain. Top coated with 3 coats of clear satin polyurethane (steel wool between coats).
I’ve been unable to find a photo of the original piece Cushman put out in the 30s but based on all of his other pieces in that time period I’d like to think I’m close.
The drawer slides smoothly, and all boards on top have been reinforced to endure many more years of use. Pictures don’t do it justice it truly is beautiful!
